She's Bad News is OUT NOW!

It's out! My debut novel, She's Bad News, is now available from Amazon.

It feels so strange, finally having my book-baby unleashed into the world. Am I excited? Yes. Am I nervous? VERY much so. It's only just sinking in that Bella's story is finally out there for public consumption. Eek!

Still, I'm rather fond of my heroine Bella and hope you enjoy reading her story as much as I enjoyed writing it.

So if you're looking for something new to read, how about a quirky, small-town superhero tale? Here's the blurb...

What would you do if you woke up with super powers?

For Bella Brown, life hasn't gone according to plan. She's almost thirty, still living in her uneventful hometown, and her dreams of becoming an investigative reporter have fallen by the wayside.

That is, until she wakes up one morning to find she's been gifted with some amazing new abilities. What’s a girl to do with heightened senses, super speed and the ability to lift a truck one-handed? Bella quickly discovers that her new powers can easily help her land front-page leads at local newspaper, The Hartleybourne Gazette.

Soon Bella's out every night chasing down local criminals for stories, while keeping her powers a secret from everyone besides flatmate Chloe. But when a burglary-gone-wrong accidentally turns her into the mysterious Hartleybourne Heroine, Bella finds herself on the front page for the wrong reasons. Her secret becomes harder to keep as she tries to track down the source of her powers, and especially when crime reporter Matt Gilmore is intent on unmasking the town's new vigilante...

Suddenly, having an extraordinary life is far more dangerous than she ever imagined.

She's Bad News will be out in paperback in January!

Currently I'm finishing off edits for book two, and I've also just started book three. (Both standalone novels). Right now, though? It's time to celebrate being a debut novelist!

The cover is finished!

Okay, so I might just be a little bit excited right now, but the cover for my debut novel is complete, so can you blame me?

Here it is!

Just how awesome is this cover?!

For a while I wondered what kind of design I'd go for; I wanted something fun and contemporary that would also slightly convey the traditional superhero image. My partner, who is immensely talented with graphic design, took it all into account and came up with this cover and I think it suits the novel perfectly. I've been looking at it for most of the day. Really must stop.

Oh, and if you want to know more about the book, here's the blurb!

Well hello!

Hi! I'm Elle, and welcome to my blog!

I'm a writer from the UK, currently preparing to release my debut novel, She's Bad News. Exciting (and nerve wracking!) times! I have also just finished writing my second book.

Here I'll be posting about my writing, other bookish news and general geekery. You can also find me at my book blog, Super Heroines. I'll try to be nice here. And professional and non-sweary.

Well, I said I'd try.

Do stop by for more news about my upcoming books!
